There’s a new app type in Intune to make deploying the Microsoft Edge preview as easy as possible.  You can add a new app and choose the Microsoft Edge, version 77 and later app type as described in the Intune documentation. 

All you need to specify is the name and description, as well as the channel to deploy.  Everything else is handled for you.  Just assign as needed (in my case, as a required app targeted to an appropriate group of devices for Autopilot) and you’re set to go.
